My new glued bestie – A note to all my glue FEARING friends….
Have you ever heard to gluing down your wig? Well I was TERRIFIED to say the least. I had ZERO, I mean ZERO, idea what to do and always stayed away from those gorgeous hairlines and wigs that required glue. Until now…

When Moramode reached out and asked if I would review their wigs, I was simultaneously thrilled and terrified. How the hell was I going to make this work – this company has the most BEAUTIFUL wigs and I have drooled over their hairline for what seems like a lifetime, but I A – have my bio hair in tact and didn’t know how I could hide my hairline while showcasing their wig hairline and B – I have never successfully glued a wig down.
{Insert all the negative self talk here}
But then I thought of all my fellow wig sisters who are in the exact same position as me. And I thought about the impact it could make if people saw their wig bestie (that’s me) fail but keep going until she succeeded. So I agreed to doing a review on this gorgeous gal and I AM SO GLAD I DID!! Who knew I would be such a fan – I can honestly say I am now a HUGE GLUE FAN!! In fact – I’m SO impressed with the glue method, that I’ve been gluing my non glue required gals every day since!
I digress….
So here I was, with this stunning piece, in all her glory, DETERMINED to get this glue method down. Ya’ll I send MoraMode at least 6 videos attempting to get the perfect hairline. Each time they encouraged me I’d get it, and on the 7th attempt I got it!!
So – here are a couple tips for the first time you glue down your wig – more to come on this in full detail soon.
- Wear a wig cap or wig sock. Trust me on this. Especially if you have bio hair that is a different color than the wig
- Find the RIGHT glue for you. I have always heard fabulous things about Got2Be Glue – but it’s never worked for me personally in keeping the wig actually in place for an extended period of time. I also tried a very sticky squeeze glue that just made my new wig look busted and wrinkled…I hit the local beauty store and found a spray (shown below) that has the perfect nozzle size AND is quick drying/sticky enough to hold the wig down ALL DAY LONG.
- Spray/Squeeze the glue onto the cap/skin closest to where you want the hairline to start. Let it get tacky and then hold the lace down with the end of a comb/tweezer/etc (just not your finger!)
Now back to Becca. The hairline is hands down the best hairline I have EVER seen. Truly. The hair smells SO good. I know that sounds so weird, but my gosh, it smells DELIGHTFUL. The hair cuticle is prestine!! Lastly – the color is just a DELIGHT. My gosh – this wig gives me ALL the feels and the hair I’ve always wanted. NOTE* Becca does NOT HAVE to be glued, she can be worn glueless without issue – See her details below!
